Research Brief

This concept paper, prepared in March 2022 as the UC Speaks Up Asian study began, lays out the initial rationale, aims, methods, timeline, and team for our 12-month mixed-methods investigation of the sexual violence, sexual harassment, and anti-Asian xenophobia that University of California students from Asian communities have experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study plan evolved over the course of the project, and the finalized design is documented in the study protocol.
